▶  Ý 3: What happened

It was two years ago when a student of mine, Linh begged me to help her with her tons of English assignments. Normally I’m willing to give my students a hand with their English homework, but that time I was annoyed by Linh’s flood of messages to me at midnight and the way she talked to me as if she was giving commands.

I made it clear to her that her way of communicating got on my nerves, and I couldn’t tolerate it. She argued that she didn’t mean disrespect for me. It was because she was stressed with her schoolwork and didn’t know how to cope with it. And I was the only one whom she could count on. She then realized her mistakes and apologized for her poor behavior.

Bước 3: Explain how you feel about it

▶ At first, I was sympathetic to her. I tried to put myself in her shoes to understand the problem she was confronting. Her trouble reminded me of my senior year at college when I was drowned in the first-term exam. There was too much to study, and I had no one to help me. I just panicked.

▶ But then I was at a loss when she apologized profusely. I said I would let it go and she wouldn’t need to be worried about that anymore. But she kept saying sorry. After almost one hour, she stopped apologizing and promised that she wouldn’t make the same mistake.

Bước 4: Đừng quên kết thức bài nói That’s all I want to say.
