Topic: Crime
Keywords: crime, a result of, social problems, poverty, bad person’s nature
Dạng bài: Discuss both views and give your opinion – Phải thảo luận cả hai quan điểm và đưa ý kiến riêng
Cách viết mở bài
It is claimed that social issues and poverty are attributable to crime, while others state that innate characteristics are the overriding factor. While negative nature can sometimes turn a person into a criminal, I believe social problems are certainly the primary cause of crime.
Cách viết thân bài
On the one hand, it is understandable why some people hold the belief that a person’s innate characteristics determine whether or not that person will grow into a criminal. First, an aggressive child is more likely to turn to a career of crime than a well-mannered one. For instance, a child bullying his or her classmate has a tendency to commit illegal activities in the future. Second, undesired traits such as laziness and selfishness could breed would-be criminals who are willing to take a shortcut to earn money. For instance, there have been a number of tragic murders committed by game addicts who choose to steal from others instead of making an honest living.
On the other hand, I believe that social issues and poverty are the main determinants of crime. First, unemployment is one of the most perennial problems of crime. Without any means of living, many people resort to crime, either minor or major ones, as a means of meeting their basic needs. This explains why some undeveloped parts of the world, such as Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, witnessed an escalating rate of crime in recent years. Poverty could also be to blame for a rise in crime. If people struggle to make ends meet, they could be pushed to break the law in an attempt to support themselves and their families.
Cách viết kết bài
In conclusion, although both perspectives certainly have some validity, I hold the belief that social issues and property are the primary motives behind crime.

Phân tích đề
Topic: Rules and Laws
Keywords: society, rules, laws, could not function, individuals, free, whatever
Dạng bài: To what extent do you agree or not? – Cần nói rõ đồng ý hay không ở mức độ nào
Cách viết mở bài
It is evident that rules and laws are the basis of many modern societies. It is therefore argued that society could not function properly if individuals were free to do as they wished. I completely agree with this point of view.
Cách viết thân bài
Laws play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of citizens and the stability of a nation. On the individual level, compensating a certain amount of freedom seems to be an acceptable trade-off for being protected by laws. As law-abiding citizens are protected from illegal activities, they can feel secure about the safety of themselves and their families. On the societal level, it would be easier for the government to manage society. For example, since the majority of Vietnamese inhabitants conducted social distancing, an order from the government to fight the spread of Covid-19, this country managed to fight this deadly pandemic.
A society would deteriorate in chaos if people’s behavior were not curbed by any regulations. In other words, there would be no safe place for people to reside and develop. Since criminal activities were not regulated by the authorities, the well-being of individuals and society as a whole would be at stake. For instance, owing to the absence of laws, companies would go out of business due to vandalism or robbery, or driving would become dangerous as reckless acts like speeding and driving under the influence were not penalized.
Cách viết kết bài
In conclusion, I believe that a society can be safe and functional only when rules and laws exist to set boundaries to people’s freedom.
