  • What it was
  • Who your teacher was
  • When and where you learnt it

And explain how useful this skill has been.

Hãy cùng nghe cô Trương Thu Hương – Academic Manager của SYM English phân tích chủ đề này nhé

Bước 1: Giới thiệu I’d like to tell you about the rudimentary mathematical skills that I was taught at primary school.
Bước 2: Triển khai các ý

▶ Ý 1: What it was

▶ Ý 2: Who your teacher was

ü  Chúng mình đừng quên áp dụng cách triển khai của Chủ đề PEOPLE nha. Đưa vào một số đặc điểm về Appearance hoặc Character

(hoặc cả 2 nội dung này). Ở đây, cô lựa chọn nói về Character.

▶ Ý 3: Was it difficult

It was a key part of Arithmetic, and it consists of Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.

It was Ms. Lan who taught us these skills. She was the head of the Maths department at my school, and she became our class’s headteacher in 2005.

At first, we didn’t like her; in fact, we were scared of her discipline, but first impressions could be misleading. Ms. Lan turned out to be a great teacher with solid knowledge of Maths and effective teaching methods. She was also thoughtful and very enthusiastic.

We learned these skills in the 3rd grade. We got started with a basic level and then moved to higher levels. We did struggle at first, but thanks to Ms. Lan’s patience, we soon got the hang of the lessons

Bước 3: Explain how useful this skill has been

▶ Those skills were extremely valuable as it was the preparational step for Maths in upper grades. We wouldn’t be able to understand more complex Maths if we didn’t master elementary skills.

▶ Besides that, mastery of these skills is vital to make every day calculations for example, when calculating interest earned from saving accounts staying at a bank.

▶ On top of that, back then my classmates and I usually competed in ‘Calculating contests’. We divided into two teams and found the results of the equations. Who came up with the correct answers first and got the higher scores would become the winner and be awarded 10 packs of sweets and cookies. My team was the winner most of the time and we really enjoyed the food given by the opponents.

Bước 4: Đừng quên kết thức bài nói That’s all I want to say.
