It is argued that traveling to other nations to explore their customs and cultures is no longer necessary thanks to advances in Internet technology. I totally disagree with this point of view because learning about a place online will never replace authentic travel experiences.

On the one hand, the Internet can certainly increase our awareness of other nations without actually setting foot in those places. In fact, people can have access to a world of information about different countries at their fingertips by browsing a great number of websites such as travel blogs or Youtube channels. By doing that, visitors can see a lot of breathtaking scenery and useful information about diverse aspects of countries in the world. For instance, people around the world can easily enjoy stunning pictures of the Eiffel tower, a popular tourist destination in Paris, France, on a computer screen without going on an extravagant trip.
Despite the aforementioned benefits brought about by the Internet, actually travelling to a place can offer the atmosphere and experience that tourists can hardly soak up when surfing on Internet-based devices. First, much of the information on the Internet just focuses on the bright sides of a country, which is primarily for promotional purposes, while negative sides are deliberately ignored. By marked contrast, setting foot in a destination in another country allows travelers to deeply immerse in the life of local people by coming into contact with the indigenous people, going sightseeing and enjoying the local cuisine in a way that may not be depicted on the Internet.
