Sample essay
The pictures illustrate two different water filtering systems.
Overall, the main difference between the two systems is that the first is a more compact, self-contained unit which comprises several parts within, while the second is a multi-stage system with only one filtering element.
The first system has a three-stage filter inside a single 200 liters metal container. Untreated water flows into the system through the inlet pipe and is absorbed into the first filter which is made of sand. It is then filtered through tiny stones at the second step. Finally, the water flows through pipe holes at the bottom before flowing through the outlet.
The second system is much simpler but is not a single unit. To begin with, when a tap is opened, untreated water flows into a sand filter. After that, the filtered water flows into a storage tank where water is stored for domestic use in the fourth step.
